Something wicked this way comes... Brigitte's Hallowine Tasting is back!

Join us for a Halloween-themed journey through the darker side of the wine world, with a suitably spooky selection of bottles chosen for the occasion. 

As ever, there'll be plenty to learn about what's actually in your glass – the grapes, regions, producers and stories behind the wines – but with a distinctly Halloween twist. Expect great wine and perhaps a few tricks amongst the treats!

And, of course, fancy dress is very much encouraged, with prizes for the best costumes. Last year's winners set the bar frighteningly high with their incredible homemade Echo Falls and Blossom Hill wine bottle costumes. Genuinely terrifying!

So, the challenge has been set. Come dressed to impress (or horrify!) and raise a glass with us for a frightfully good evening of Hallowine – if you dare... THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT

WEDNESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER. 7.30PM. BRIGITTE’S SHERRY TASTING AND FOOD PAIRING

This is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the tasting calendar for us. We love sherry and love taking part in International Sherry Week every November. We'll be promoting the wonderful world of sherry throughout the week from the 2nd to the 8th of November, with bar specials and in store promotions and giveaways. In addition, we're inviting you to join us for this special evening of sherry tasting and food pairing on Wednesday the 4th. Sherry is such a varied and gastronomic wine, so we'll be tasting our way through the different styles and pairing each one with the perfect culinary accompaniment. We can't wait!

THURSDAY 12TH NOVEMBER. 7.30PM. HUNGARIAN WINE TASTING

Hungary is one of Europe's most exciting wine-producing countries, with a winemaking history stretching back thousands of years, fascinating indigenous grape varieties and some truly exceptional wines. Join us as we explore everything from crisp, mineral whites to rich, characterful reds, discovering the delights of Furmint, Kékfrankos and more. And, of course, no exploration of Hungarian wine would be complete without a taste of one of the country's legendary sweet wines. Expect some delicious surprises and plenty of reasons to put Hungarian wine firmly on your radar!

WEDNESDAY 18TH NOVEMBER. 7.30PM. A TASTE OF LEBANON: FOOD AND WINE PAIRING EVENING WITH ‘IN BETWEEN’ CAFE

We're delighted to be teaming up with fellow Sherwood independent business ‘In Between’, a wonderful Lebanese/Syrian-owned café, for a very special evening celebrating the wines and flavours of Lebanon!

Lebanon is home to one of the most exciting and distinctive wine scenes in the Middle East, producing beautifully expressive wines that reflect the country’s unique landscape, climate and rich cultural heritage. We'll be showcasing a selection of these fascinating wines, while the team at In Between will be preparing delicious, authentic Lebanese dishes to enjoy alongside them.

Expect bold flavours, wonderful pairings and a celebration of Lebanese food, wine and hospitality – all brought together by two local independents!

This tasting is £40 per person.

THURSDAY 19TH NOVEMBER. BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU DAY

On Thursday 19th November, we will be celebrating the arrival of this year's Beaujolais Nouveau - further details of the event to follow. 

WEDNESDAY 25TH NOVEMBER. 7.30PM. BRIGITTE’S BEST OF 2026

We don't need much of an excuse to re-taste our favourite wines of the year, so if you'd like to join us, we're happy to crack open the bottles.

As well as our favourites and wines that have meant something significant to us in 2026, we'll also be revisiting some of our guests' favourites from this year's tastings.

MONDAY 30TH NOVEMBER, TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER AND WEDNESDAY 2ND DECEMBER. 7.30PM. BRIGITTE’S FESTIVE FIZZ TASTING

As has become tradition over the last few years, we're hosting three 'Festive Fizz' tastings to hopefully accommodate everyone who wants to put a bit of sparkle into the start of the festive season.

As always, there will be a 10% discount offered on purchases made at the end of the evening. So, not only is it a great night out, it's also an opportunity to stock up on some great seasonal sparklers for the festivities ahead.

Our 'Festive Fizz' tastings are always full of fun, fizz and festive cheer. If that sounds good to you, book your ticket today!

SUNDAY 6TH DECEMBER. 1PM - 3PM AND 3.30PM - 5.30PM. BRIGITTE’S CHRISTMAS FAIR

This is always a great day where we open lots of wines for you to taste and invite local makers and craftspeople to come and sell their wares.

Tickets are £30pp for a two-hour time slot. Please let us know if you'd like to join us between 1pm and 3pm or 3.30pm and 5.30pm. Your £30 ticket not only gets you plenty of wine to taste, it also gives you 10% off the purchase of any of your favourites on the day. Any wines you buy also qualify for free delivery straight to your door in the week following the event.

We will be putting the call out again for any local makers, bakers and craftspeople who may want to join us (for free) to sell their wares. If that sounds like you, or anyone you know, get in touch.

It promises to be an afternoon full of festive cheer as well as the perfect opportunity to do a bit of pain-free Christmas shopping and to stock up with delicious wines for the festive period.

If there's anything that can equal 'Festive Fizz' for fun, it's 'Festive Fortifieds'.

Port, Sherry, Madeira, Marsala and much more! We'll be tasting some great wines that will be the perfect Christmas fireside tipples as well as partners for your Christmas dishes and desserts.

We love fortified wines and if you do too, we'd love you to join us!

This tasting is £40 per person.
